ACWL-Nuveen Youth Exhibition - 2025

March 14 - April 19, 2025

​Eligibility

Open to all K-12 students. Original artwork completed within the past three years and not previously exhibited in a juried ACWL-Nuveen exhibition. Artists may have minimal help and instruction on their entries. 2-D and 3-D media are accepted. Students in grades 9 -12 can also submit Digital Media. There is no theme or required subject matter. Awards will be given in each of the following grade categories: K-2nd, 3rd-5th, 6th-8th, and 9th-12th.

Entry Procedure and Fees​

Entry fee is $5 per piece. Each artist may submit up to two pieces. Entries must be delivered to the ACWL-Nuveen, 106 E. Colby St., Whitehall, MI 49461. Artwork must be dropped off during the designated times unless other specific arrangements have been made. All forms must be completed legibly to ensure correct identification and notification.

 

Framing and Labeling

All 2D entries must be mounted on a stiff backing (or framed) with wire for hanging SECURELY attached. If framed, artworks must be wired securely—no saw-tooth hangers. Affix entry labels firmly to the back of the artwork in the upper right corner. For three-dimensional work, entry labels must be taped securely to each piece. Digital media should be submitted in MP4 format, via email or flash drive. You may submit pieces that include sound, but no explicit content is allowed. Artwork not suitably prepared for hanging may be declined.

Conditions and Liability

Artworks must remain on display at the ACWL-Nuveen for the duration of the exhibit. Artwork may be for sale or marked NFS if not for sale. No commission will be taken. ACWL-Nuveen takes every precaution to ensure the protection of artwork. However, we are not responsible for any loss or damage. Registration grants ACWL-Nuveen permission to use images for marketing.

Prizes to be awarded in each of
the four grade categories:

 

1st Place Award                     $50

2nd Place Award                    $25

3rd Place Award                     $15 Honorable Mention Awards

  

One ACWL-Nuveen Award        $50

Timeline

Drop off artwork

March 4—March 7, 11:00am—5:00pm

March 8, 11:00am – 3:00pm

 

Reception & Award presentation

Saturday, March 15, 1:00—3:00pm

 

Exhibition Dates

March 14– April 19, 2025

     Tuesday - Friday, 11:00am—5:30pm

     Saturday, 11:00am—3:00pm

 

Pick up exhibited works

April 22—25, 11:00am—5:00pm

 

Any artwork left after May 3 will become the property of the

ACWL-Nuveen.

Artists will need to fill out an entry form and complete labels for each of their pieces. These items are on the back of the entry guidelines. We will also have forms at the ACWL-Nuveen if you would rather fill them out when you stop in to drop off your artwork and pay the $5/piece entry fee.

The Nuveen Center is accessible to all visitors–whatever their ability. Each room is wheelchair accessible, including classrooms and restroom. Guide animals are also welcome. Feel free to call us in advance of your visit so we can accommodate any special needs.
