Painting with a Purpose

The Arts Council of White Lake-Nuveen Center has been offering the ever-popular Paint Your Pet classes for over two years. Beyond seeing the smiles on participants faces as they paint their fur-babies, we really enjoy the opportunity to present these classes as fundraisers for other organizations. Because of these classes, in 2019 we were able to donate $1,040 to the Muskegon Humane Society and $2,400 to the Muskegon Farmers Market.

While we will continue to support these organizations, we are excited to be offering Paint your Pet classes in the White Lake area in collaboration with a new nonprofit, the Jaeger Foundation. Founded in 2019, the Jaeger Foundation works to train and provide service dogs for veterans and first responders. So far, they have been able to help four veterans.

Our next Paint your Pet with the Jaeger Foundation class will be held on April 7 at North Grove Brewers. Please visit https://www.artswhitelake.org/events-1/paint-your-pet-with-the-jaeger-foundation-1 to learn more and to register. Registration and payment are required by March 31.
