The Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the upcoming Colby Street Pocket Park Mural is live! The Arts Council of White Lake – Nuveen Center (ACWL-Nuveen), the City of Whitehall, and CatchMark Technologies are working together to find an experienced community-based Michigan artist (or artist team) to design and paint a vibrant 480 square foot mural on CatchMark Technologies’ east exterior wall. The prominent Colby Street Pocket Park Mural, located in downtown Whitehall, is visible to pedestrians, drivers and passengers. The former alleyway is being transformed into a mixed-use gathering space for community-wide events for residents and visitors to White Lake. A dynamic mural will not only enhance the park, it will entice residents and visitors to stop, shop, and hang out in downtown Whitehall.

Applicants must submit a resume, cover letter, images of previous public murals, and two professional references. The ACWL-Nuveen is also collecting input from residents about the White Lake community that will be shared with the selected artist as inspiration for the mural design.
