About the event

Get ready to stretch your creativity in this five day virtual photography club! Throughout this class, students will learn how to talk about and critique their work and the work of others, as well as explore their voice as an artist, using photography as a method of story telling.

In the first class, students will learn basic photo techniques and terminology. On the following days, students will receive a photo-theme assignment to explore on their own. Students will complete a total of four projects. Students will select and email your favorite photos (2-3 only) to kirkseychelsea@gmail.com before class the next day.

Class will meet via Zoom - the class link will be sent a few days before the first class. Students will need to have a device to take digital photos such as a smartphone, digital camera, or tablet.

Chelsea Kirksey has been teaching community-based art classes for six years. In 2014 she earned a BFA in Art Education with a specialization in sculpture from MSU. She enjoys sharing her love of art with others and seeing their passion and creations.
