About the event
Working from a reference photo, students will learn compositional and drawing techniques to help them render their favorite floral or garden-themed image onto watercolor paper. Once their image is drawn the students will learn the basics of color theory, paint mixing, and watercolor tips that will assist them
in the creation of their own unique frameable botanical painting. If time allows students will have the opportunity to create more than one painting in class. The instructor will also talk to the class about options for scanning and printing their images in the future to make cards or larger prints.
Class minimum: 4
Class maximum: 8
About the Instructor:
Michelle is an artist in Montague, Michigan. She’s enjoyed making art since she can remember. Michelle studied Commercial Art at Ferris State University, and later studied Art & Design at Grand Valley State University.
ACWL-Nuveen classes are supported in part by grants from the Michigan Arts & Culture Council, the National Endowment for the Arts and the Nuveen Benevolent Trust.
