About the event
Learn how to transform common household objects into expressive, whimsical paper mache animal sculptures. Students will be taught how to combine various shaped everyday objects to create a gestural armature for their animal’s torso, legs and head. Once they have captured the character of their animal they will cover their armature with a skin of glued paper, i.e., paper mache. Various papers and magazines will be used as a finish to enhance the spirit of the animal sculptures. If time allows, students may also add paint to their sculptures.
Class minimum: 4
Class maximum: 10
