Multi-Colored Linocut Printing

Learn how to carve two soft linocut blocks from start to finish. Students will be taught how to transfer a pencil drawing to soft cut linoleum, how to carve a design, and ink and print their plate multiple times printing on different papers. With two blocks, students will be able to print images in different colors to create a unique print composition. We will talk about edition printing using a press in class but I will also discuss and demo inexpensive home printing methods. You can bring simple designs or drawings with you or create one in class. Search "linocut" on Pinterest for a wealth of ideas. This is a relaxing and addicting medium to work with and the possibilities are endless!  The class fee includes all tools and materials and is open to individuals 12 years old and up.
