During this 3 day course, you'll learn basic principles of playing the guitar with other musicians. We'll cover topics about how to play rhythm, lead, write songs, and improvisational solos.
Join Morgan Aislyn Liskey of Aislyn June Photography on a photo walk through White Lake. Bring your camera or phone and learn the art of nature photography. This is a family friendly event and families are encouraged to attend together.
Announcing Create & Take Days at the Nuveen Center. Once a month we will be offering an hour where children of all ages, with the supervision of an adult, can create anything they want. We will supply the materials, for $5 fee, and children can create anything to take home with them that day. This is a drop in class, no registration required. There will be no instruction, come when you can and stay as long as you would like. Let your little ones get creative!
During June we will have collage materials out. Papers, glue, and sequins oh my! Come paste together a piece of art to take home with you.
Our one week musical theater workshop is the perfect opportunity for students to try out their interest in musical theater without committing to an entire show. This year students will learn "Seize the Day" From Newsies. The workshop is Monday through Friday from 4-7PM with a small showcase Friday at 6:30. Students will spend the first part of the class learning the music and the second half learning blocking and choreography. The cost is $50 and students do not need to audition.

Celebrate summer with tie dye! Forrest Hanson will teach you new dying techniques in this three day class. Students should bring a white t-shirt with them on the first day of class.

Award winning photographer Jay Luptak will walk you through the basics of how to take a great photo with your mobile phone. She will also reveal her favorite apps for color correction, cropping, and other image adjustments.
Join Jay Luptak, award winning fine art photographer, for Creative Nature Photography and gain insights on how to create rich, dramatic images that let you enjoy more time outdoors. We will gather at the main parking lot of Duck Lake State Park to begin our adventure.
In Western Michigan we are very fortunate to be surrounded by the beauty of nature. Nature and landscape photography is a powerful way to connect with your environment and deeply experience that beauty. In this class we will discuss how to use the tools at your disposal and train your eye to capture the shot that conveys your personal connection to the world around you.
Several obstacles stand in the way of taking a photograph that reflects your experience in nature. We will consider gear choices, complicated questions regarding camera settings and challenging environments to name a few. Whether you are a beginner or advanced photographer this class will help you take your nature and landscape photography to the next level.

Create art using natural material and be inspired by the world around us. Chelsea Zolbe will lead our young students in an interactive class that encourages them to be explorers.
Enjoy drinks at Pub One Eleven while you paint your own piece of art at Cocktails and Canvas. The cost is $30 per person and will cover all of your art supplies.
5th Grade and up
During the month of July we will have a range of 3d materials that you can use to build your own found object sculpture.
